The Preparatory Year is compulsory. All Queensland children of eligible age may attend a full-time Preparatory Year of education before starting Year 1. Children need to turn five by 30 June in the year they enrol in Prep.
To determine when your child can commence their prep year, view the
prep enrolments table.
A reminder that proof of your child's age needs to be produced at your enrolment interview. Acceptable forms of identification are a Birth Certificate or a Passport.
