At Picnic Creek State School, science isn't just a subject—it's a journey of exploration, curiosity, and hands-on learning. In our two specialist classrooms science comes alive through engaging experiments, interactive demonstrations, and thought-provoking discussions. From the earliest grades, students are encouraged to ask questions, make observations, and form hypotheses. Supported by a large range of resources, students have the opportunity to engage in authentic scientific inquiry. Each year we have a number of community and school-based extension opportunities for students who show a keen interest and aptitude in science and STEM. Our Science Trivia Challenge, held to celebrate Science Week, is a chance for students to challenge themselves and share their enthusiasm for Science with friends. At Picnic Creek State School, student scientists are empowered to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers with confidence and curiosity.
